Revised COVID-19 Guidelines For Calvary Tabernacle Church of God

Posted on Tue, May 18, 2021

Greetings, Church Family!

Last week, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) updated its guidelines as it pertains to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Specifically, they modified the recommendations regarding the wearing of masks and social distancing.  They indicated that wearing a mask, as well as social distancing, was no longer needed for those who’ve been fully vaccinated (except in certain settings).  On Monday, May 17, 2021, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the acceptance and implementation of these guidelines statewide.

What does this mean for Calvary?  Simply, effective immediately, wearing a mask in the building is no longer required.  However, those who have chosen to not receive the vaccine are encouraged to continue wearing masks as a precaution against spreading the virus to others who also have chosen not to be vaccinated.

I want to state clearly, that the decision to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (any brand) is a personal choice and that your choice will be respected and honored.  It is not my desire to have this issue become divisive in any way.  Each person needs to be given the space to determine, for themselves, if they are comfortable with being vaccinated.

My prayer is that we would all continue to follow the scriptural admonition, as I have preached recently, and Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4 – NKJV).  If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Blessings,

Pastor Hiram Claudio
